By Vinay Mishra Delhi: Date 24 September 2025, Over the last 8 days, Safdarjung Hospital (SJH) has recorded an unprecedented 74,933 beneficiaries under the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan (SNSPA), with women leading participation at 37,767.
Hon’ble MP Manoj Tiwari inaugurated the Centre of Excellence for Type-1 Diabetes in Children, interacted with young patients, and distributed millets and sanitary napkins to women participants. Commending Director Dr. Sandeep Bansal and his team, he remarked that the overwhelming turnout reflects “the public’s growing resolve to embrace preventive healthcare and gender-responsive practices.”
Key activities included neurology awareness on stroke, Alzheimer’s and epilepsy; a nephrology-led kidney health drive with street plays and expert talks; NCD screenings and nutrition sessions by Community Medicine; and a vibrant menstrual hygiene campaign by nursing students.
These coordinated initiatives reaffirm SJH’s role as a national leader in preventive, inclusive and community-centred healthcare.
