By Vinay Mishra Delhi: Date 26/08/25, IDBI Bank, reaffirming its commitment to social responsibility and healthcare advancement, today formally handed over medical equipment to Safdarjung Hospital under its comprehensive Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. The contribution includes two advanced ECG machines with trolleys for the Emergency Medicine Department and a sophisticated fume extractor for the Pathology Department.
The equipment handover ceremony was attended by senior hospital administration, IDBI Bank officials, and healthcare professionals, marking a significant step toward enhancing the hospital's diagnostic capabilities and safety standards.
Two
state-of-the-art ECG machines with
trolleys would enhance cardiac monitoring capabilities for emergency
patient care and also improve response time for critical cardiac assessments.
Advanced fume extractor is an essential laboratory safety device designed to capture and remove hazardous formaldehyde vapors and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Prolonged exposure to such fumes can cause irritation, respiratory problems, and even cancer, making protection critical for lab personnel.
Dr. Sandeep Bansal, Director, Safdarjung Hospital, expressed his appreciation for the contribution: "This generous contribution from IDBI Bank represents a significant advancement in our healthcare delivery capabilities. The ECG machines will be instrumental in our Emergency Medicine Department, enabling our medical team to provide faster and more accurate cardiac assessments during critical moments. The fume extractor for our Pathology Department will create a safer working environment for our laboratory staff, ensuring they can continue their vital work in optimal conditions. Such partnerships between corporate entities and public healthcare institutions are essential for strengthening our healthcare infrastructure and ultimately saving more lives. We are deeply grateful to IDBI Bank for their vision and commitment to public health."
Shashank Dixit, Zonal Head, IDBI Bank, highlighted the bank's CSR philosophy:
"At IDBI Bank, we believe that corporate success must be measured not just
by financial performance, but by our contribution to society's well-being.
Healthcare remains one of our priority areas under our CSR framework, and this
contribution to Safdarjung Hospital aligns perfectly with our commitment to
supporting public healthcare infrastructure. This initiative reflects our
