NEW DELHI, February 27, 2025, AMERICARES India Foundation has successfully contributed FIBROSCAN Machine to Safdarjung Hospital as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at enhancing diagnostic capabilities for liver disease management.
The formal handover ceremony took place at Safdarjung Hospital in the presence of distinguished guests including Dr. Ulhas Vasave, Director Program of AMERICARES India Foundation, and Dr. Sandeep Bansal, Medical Superintendent of Safdarjung Hospital.
FIBROSCAN, a non-invasive technology used to assess liver fibrosis and steatosis, will significantly improve the hospital's ability to diagnose and monitor liver conditions without requiring invasive biopsies. This contribution is expected to benefit thousands of patients annually who seek treatment at one of India's largest government hospitals.
"This contribution represents our ongoing commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure across India," said Dr. Ulhas Vasave during the ceremony. "By providing access to advanced diagnostic tools like FIBROSCAN, we aim to support early detection and better management of liver diseases."
Dr. Sandeep Bansal expressed gratitude for the contribution, stating, "This technology will transform our approach to liver disease diagnosis and enable our medical teams to provide more accurate, timely, and non-invasive care to patients.
