By Raj Kumar New Delhi: On 14/01/2024, information was received regarding theft in the area of Shakarpur, Delhi. On receiving the information, the police team visited the house and recorded the statement of the complainant cum owner of the house. Wherein he stated that on 13.01.2024, at 01:30 PM, he and his family had gone out of Delhi and came back on 14.01.2024 at 07 PM. When they entered his house, they saw that his entire house was ransacked by someone. On checking, they found 15 pieces of tola gold jewelry, one kg Silver utensils, one laptop, one tab, some cash etc missing from his house. The scene of the crime was also inspected by the forensic team. During the inspection, one used cigarette bud was also found at one of the tables of the house. A case FIR No. 09/2024 dated 14.01.2024, u/s 457/380 IPC PS Shakarpur, Delhi was registered in this regard. During the investigation, a team comprising PSI Aditi Verma, ASI Narendra, HC Rahul, HC Anurag and Ct Prince under the close supervision of, ACP/Preet Vihar and SHO/Shakarpur was formed. The police team examined more than 16 hours of CCTV footage of the area and noticed that on 13.01.2024, one lady covering his face with a mask and dupatta entered the house and within 10 minutes, she came back from the house and entered one of the neighbor’s house. She remained in the neighbor’s house for around 40 minutes. On further analyses of CCTV, it was found that the suspect lady again entered the complainant’s house and came back with the stolen goods in the wee hours of 14.01.2024. As the lady was not identifiable in the CCTV footage, the trail of CCTV was made and observed that the suspect lady was going towards the Mandawali area. During the interrogation of the complainant’s family, they revealed that one lady maid namely Mrs. Sunita R/o Talab Chowk, Mandwali, Delhi, age- 35 years is working in their house and she had knowledge about the outstation program of the family. Suspect Sunita was interrogated by showing her CCTV footage of the route. After that, she revealed that she also used to work as a maid in a doctor’s clinic located in the Mandawali area and she also has the key to the clinic. So after the theft, she directly went to the clinic with stolen items and after opening the clinic, she concealed the bag containing all the stolen articles in the clinic. In the instance of the accused Sunita, the bag containing all the stolen jewelry items, silvery utensils, laptop, tab and cash was recovered from the clinic. Accused Sunita disclosed that she prepared the key to the complainant’s house while working as a maid in the house. She further revealed that she knowingly left the cigarette bud on the table for giving the impression of theft by a male person. Further investigation is under progress.
