By Vinay Mishra Delhi: VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, in collaboration with the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives of PTC India Limited, PTC Foundation, and Doctors For You (DFY), inaugurated a CT Scan Machine, marking a significant step towards strengthening public healthcare infrastructure and enhancing diagnostic services for patients.
The programme was graced by Dr. Manoj Kumar Jhawar, Chairman & Managing Director, PTC India Limited, along with Rashmi Sharma, Chairperson, CSR Committee, PTC India Limited, and Pankaj Goel, Executive Director, PTC India Limited, as Guests of Honour. The event was presided over by Dr. Sandeep Bansal, Director, VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, an eminent cardiologist widely respected for his compassionate and patient-centric approach to healthcare.
The inauguration was conducted in the presence of Dr. Rajat Jain, President, Doctors For You (DFY), the implementing agency for the project, & Dr. Charu Bamba, Medical Superintendent.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Bansal, Director, VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, expressed his sincere gratitude to PTC India Limited for their valuable CSR support. He stated that the addition of the CT Scan Machine will substantially enhance the hospital’s diagnostic capacity, reduce waiting time for investigations, and contribute to timely and accurate diagnosis for thousands of patients.
In his address, Dr. Manoj Kumar Jhawar, Chairman & Managing Director, PTC India Limited, stated that PTC remains deeply committed to creating sustainable social impact through its CSR initiatives. He emphasized that healthcare is a key focus area for PTC, and the installation of the CT Scan Machine at Safdarjung Hospital reflects the organization’s commitment to improving access to advanced diagnostic facilities for economically weaker sections of society.
Rashmi Sharma, Chairperson, CSR Committee, PTC India Limited, underlined the role of responsible corporate participation in strengthening public healthcare systems. She noted that CSR initiatives, when aligned with institutional needs, can significantly improve patient outcomes and healthcare delivery.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Rajat Jain, President, DFY, emphasized the importance of strong coordination between public healthcare institutions, corporate partners, and implementation agencies. He stated that such collaborative efforts ensure timely execution of projects and enable public hospitals to provide quality diagnostic services to a large patient population.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by members of the CSR Committees of the collaborating institutions, Dr. Amita Malik, HOD, Radiology, along with doctors, faculty members, nursing staff, and students.
VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital reaffirmed its commitment to the effective utilization of CSR support for patient-centric services and continuous improvement in access to advanced medical diagnostics.
