By Vinay Mishra Delhi:-Complainant reported that he ply an E-Rickshaw on daily wages. On 23.01.24 at
about 08:00 pm he was waiting for passengers at DLF Mor, suddenly one person identified
as Annu s/o Nasim r/o New Seema Puri, Delhi boarded in his E-Rickshaw and asked for
going to New Seemapuri. On this, he altercated with the complainant to give Rs.5 as fare
for the same. While, reached at New Seemapuri and asked him to de-board from E-
Rickshaw. On this, passenger boy altercated with the complainant where another
unknown boy reached at the spot who forcibly caught and gripped the complainant over
his neck and kept hanky on the mouth and pushed and fell down him. Thereafter, took
the E-Rickshaw and fled away from the spot. Further, complainant taken the above
passenger to the house of the owner of E-rickshaw namely Malik Sameer R/o Sunlight
Colony, Old Seemapuri on suspicion and narrated the whole incident who made a PCR
Call. During interrogation, above passenger boy was released as not found associate with
accused. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No.85/2024 dt. 24.01.24 U/s 392 IPC PS Seemapuri
was registered on the statement of complainant and investigation was taken up.
Considering the gravity of incident, ASI Gajraj, Ct Vicky Kasana and HC Satty was
deployed to solve this robbery incident under the close supervision of Insp. Vinay Yadav,
SHO/Seemapuri. Several CCTV footages of nearby area analyzed, local enquiry
conducted. The team immediately came in action and made sincere efforts to apprehend
the accused. They followed the accused with the help of CCTV footages. On acting of
secret information, local enquiry and on the basis of CCTVs footage, the team succeeded
to apprehend the accused identified as Sunny S/o Deepak R/o Old Seema Puri Delhi, age-
23 yrs. and robbed E-Rickshaw was also recovered from the possession of accused.
During interrogation at length, accused found previously involved in total of 7 cases of
robbery, snatching and Arms Act and he is a BC of PS Seemapuri.The accused was
arrested and produced before the Hon’ble Court and sent to J/C.
