A VOLLEYBALL MATCH /EVENT WAS ORGANISED AT TRILOKPURI YOUNGSTERS AND POLICE PERSONNEL TO DEVELOP A BOND AND BROTHERHOOD

Vinay Mishra Delhi: Delhi Police conducted a friendly volleyball match at block No. 19, Trilokpuri, East District district on January  21 with the youth and Police personnel. This match was organised to develop a sense of bond and brotherhood between police and public, to motivate youth in the field of sports and to promote sports culture in East District. The event started with interaction with youth followed by the match and culminated with light refreshments.

    The youngsters who attended the sports event were motivated to involve in reformative measures, also briefed about vibrant sports culture in India, the importance of healthy and stress free life and the opportunities available in today’s environment in various sports genre. During the meeting with the youngsters, they were made aware about the present drug abuse activities in the society and its adverse effect/consequences. Further they were guided on how not to be indulged in criminal activities and be a good Samaritan.

    The inaugural match was played between youngsters and police personnel, which was won by police personnel. At the conclusion of the tournament, the winner team as well as runner up team were felicitated by ACP/Mayur Vihar with Trophies. Refreshments were also provided to all the participants and the audience.  

The event was quite successful and was received by the public with a positive outlook. The main aim & motive of organising such events is to develop brotherhood, love, and peace & keeping youth away from the menace of drugs.
