New Delhi, April 22, 2025 - Safdarjung Hospital marked World Earth Day with an impactful tree plantation drive, joining the worldwide 2025 Earth Day theme "Our Power, Our Planet." The event featured the donation of various shrubs in large pots and the planting of trees throughout the hospital premises, led by Dr. Manisha Joshi, Founder of Devayaa - A Society for Welfare of Women and Children. The program was graced by Dr R P Arora Additional Medical Superintendent, Dr Rekha Addl MS & Mr Ashok Pal DDA.
The initiative underscored the hospital's commitment to environmental sustainability and community well-being, with active participation from hospital staff, patients, and community members.
Dr. Sandeep Bansal, Medical Superintendent of Safdarjung Hospital, expressed his appreciation for the initiative: "Environmental health and human health are deeply interconnected. This plantation drive represented our institution's commitment to healing not just our patients, but also our planet. The trees planted today will provide shade, clean air, and beauty to our hospital grounds for generations to come."
Dr. R.P.
